AFSA’s Henry S. Parmelee Award
Newport Beach, California resident Devin Doyle leads Response Fire Supply as the owner of the Santa Ana-based company. Devin Doyle holds membership with multiple professional associations including the American Fire Sprinkler Association (AFSA).
AFSA exists to provide education and training to professionals working within the fire sprinkler protection industry. Each year, AFSA honors one individual with the Henry S. Parmelee award for demonstrating an outstanding commitment to advancing the industry and fire protection practices.
To be eligible for the award, an individual must be nominated by an employee of a member of the AFSA who is in good standing and has their employer’s approval. Nominees must also be working for an AFSA member company at the time of the award’s presentation and cannot nominate themselves.
The highest honor granted by AFSA, the Henry S. Parmelee award was instituted by the organization in 1983. It was established in remembrance of Henry S. Parmelee, the inventor of the first closed sprinkler to become commercially successful.
